IT Secops Engineer

Job Description

Experience : 0 - 2 Years 

  • Investigate and analyze security events. 
  • Identify and respond to security threats. 
  • Use security tools and technologies to detect and mitigate security risks. 
  • Respond to security incidents promptly and effectively. 
  • Conduct post-incident analysis to identify the root cause. 
  • Manage and configure SIEM tools to collect and analyse security data. 
  • Investigate and correlate security events using SIEM. 
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of log data. 
  • Identify and assess vulnerabilities in systems and applications. 
  • Conduct vulnerability scans and assessments. 
  • Stay updated on the latest security vulnerabilities and threats. 
  • Research and assess the relevance of threat intelligence to the organisation.
  • Provide insights on emerging threats and trends. 
  • Contribute to the development of threat intelligence reports. 
  • Implement and maintain security tools and technologies. 
  • Assist in the configuration and optimisation of security infrastructure. 
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate security solutions. 
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of security awareness programs. 
  • Maintain documentation of security processes and procedures. 
  • Prepare and update incident reports, security metrics, and documentation. 
  • Communicate security findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices.

 

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Education: 

  • BE/B.tech in Computer Science or equivalent stream: Preferred 

Must Have Skills: 

  • Experience to handle queries for Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure 
  • Must have experience with Windows, Linux and MAC devices 
  • Desired information about EDR/XDR tool, email gateway, forensic analysis, threat hunting, tenable, wireshark, TCPDump 
  • Programming languages: Python, Go or Pearl 
  • Have worked individually over Hack the box or any other open-source platform as blue team player or bug bounty experience will be an advantage. 
  • Certifications or Training: CompTIA Security+ or C|EH
